Activist Groups Urge Obama to Reject Boy Scout Honor

Activist groups, including Scouting for All, urge President Obama not to accept the honorary Presidency of the Boy Scouts of America until they stop discriminating.

Mayor Street Is Correct: Cradle Stop Your Discriminatory Policy

I am a former Scout, and have been dismayed by the BSA's hideous policy discriminating against groups of youths and adults.

Now that Mayor Street has conveyed to you a strong message about this discrimination policy,I urge you to end the council's discriminatory policy by issuing a "letter of intent" stating that the council will no longer discriminate against gays and atheists. The letter should state in clear terms that discrimination will not be tolerated and the Cradle of Liberty Council will not follow the BSA National policy of excluding gay and atheist youth and adults. The issue is not to be "swept under the rug" with a policy of "don't ask, don't tell."

I believe that the National Council will listen to a strong message from you, as the third-largest council in the nation.Youshould notdeny 87,000 youth access to the Scouting program in orderto defenda morally bankrupt discrimination policy.
