Activist Groups Urge Obama to Reject Boy Scout Honor

Activist groups, including Scouting for All, urge President Obama not to accept the honorary Presidency of the Boy Scouts of America until they stop discriminating.

Scouting for All is a 100% Volunteer 501-(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. Every dollar donated goes toward our education and advocacy programs, and is tax deductible.

Scouting for All Represented At A Catholic High School

April 28, 2006, Scouting for All participated in Community Service Day at Urseline High School in Sonoma County, California. Community Service organizations from throughout the county participated in the event. Students interacted with each organization throughout the day. Many students opposed the Boy Scouts of America's policy of discrimination against gay and atheist youth and adults. Students signed Steven's petition to end discrimination in scouting. We now have over 100,000 signatures. They also took literature. I could see that several gay students were very happy we were there with our affirming and healing signs and messages. In all it was a great moment for Scouting for All reaching out to both gay and straight youth. -
