Scouting for All's 8th National Recognition of Gay and Atheist Scout and All Gay and Atheist Youth Month (Oct, 2007)

Scouting for All asks all who can to please sign-up as an Event Organizer. You can do this by going to and clicking the S4A Programs menu then click the menu S4A Annual National Recognition....
-or- by going to Annual Rally Signup

The purpose of Scouting for All's National Annual GLBT Celebration / Rally is twofold: To get the Boy Scouts of America to rescind its discriminatory policy of discrimination against gay and atheist youth and adults and to recognize and to express our support of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered youth. Each year a new theme will be selected. Our first year's theme was "Give voice by protesting the Supreme Court James Dale / BSA Decision." This year’s theme is “Reaching out to Gay and Atheist Scouts and all LGBT Youth”.

Our first rally lead to the creation of Scouting For All's National Campaign and our Scouting for All's Alliance for Human Rights. The Alliance is made up of individual grassroots organizers, community based organizations, and national organizations, all coming together to stand against the Boy Scouts of America's policy of discrimination in their own ways.

The celebrations and/or rallies give participants a voice to acknowledge, recognize, and embrace GLBT youth with an empowering message. This event will be the vehicle to give voice to this embracing and healing message. This annual event occurs across the U.S.A. and internationally.

Celebrations and/or rallies are scheduled in such cities as Petaluma & San Diego, CA and Seattle, Washington. You can also sign up to become an Event Organizer just by distributing our annual Essay contest. You can do this at the same web site (above). Details of the Essay Contest are below. No matter how you chose to celebrate our Annual Recognition of Gay and Atheist Scouts and All LGBT Youth Month, Scouting for All appreciates your support.
