Site Redesign in Progress.
The Scouting for All Web Site was hacked on January 7, 2009. Whoever did the hacking was running a spam server off of our site. Thankfully, due to dilligence on the part of our web host and my own "anal-retentiveness" about backups, the site was not lost.
However, I have spent literally hundreds of hours before and after this hack trying to "work around" problems with this site. I have temporarily closed the security holes, but research has only told me that there are more problems with the site than I was aware of.
The amount of time I have spent trying to "fix" this site is immesurable. A large part of this is due to a previous designer's use of iFrames, which is problamatic at best, and has become a major problem at worst.
I have given up on trying to "fix" or "work around" cumbersome design from the past. I am currently working on a technically simpler, though visually similar version of this site, which should be live by the end of January. Once this is live, the time I have spent trying to "work around" the site can better be spent trying to develop other portions of the site and updating the many things that need to be updated.
Thank you all for your patience.
