Activist Groups Urge Obama to Reject Boy Scout Honor

Activist groups, including Scouting for All, urge President Obama not to accept the honorary Presidency of the Boy Scouts of America until they stop discriminating.

Scouting for All is a 100% Volunteer 501-(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. Every dollar donated goes toward our education and advocacy programs, and is tax deductible.

West Palm Beach, FL City Commissioners Objected to Donating Public Money to the BSA Because of Its Policies Toward Gays

Scouts withdraw request for $2,500

In order to prevent additional police funding from being cut, the BSA has complied with a request from local police chief to withdraw a request for a $2,500 donation from the city. This came after city officials objected to donating public money to the BSA because of its policies toward gays. The BSA will try asking for funding again in June. Various United Way organizations in the Palm Beach area already have threatened to withhold contributions to the BSA because of its anti-gay policies.
