Activist Groups Urge Obama to Reject Boy Scout Honor

Activist groups, including Scouting for All, urge President Obama not to accept the honorary Presidency of the Boy Scouts of America until they stop discriminating.

Scouting for All is a 100% Volunteer 501-(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. Every dollar donated goes toward our education and advocacy programs, and is tax deductible.

BSA membership down for the first month of January '01

Membership related, I thought you'd be interested to know our latest statistics printed in Pro-Speak are for the first month of 2001, a trend is developing.

Tigers:	284,302 (-3.8%)
Cubs:	947,933 (-3.0%)
Webelos:	773,884 (-4.9%)
Total Cub Programs:	2,006,120 (-3.9%)
Boy Scouts:	890,480 (-2.9%)
Varsity Scouts:	69,214 (-5.3%)
Total Boy Scout Programs:	959,694 (-3.1%)
Venturers:	223,230 (+14.8%)
Total LFL:	1,566,601 (+3.3%)
(remember this includes both Learning for Life and Exploring - neither program carries the "gay" restrictions that the traditional programs do) result of Venturing being split off of Exploring.
