Activist groups, including Scouting for All, urge President Obama not to accept the honorary Presidency of the Boy Scouts of America until they stop discriminating.

Boyscouts need honesty

Steve Jewell has been involved in boyscouts since he was a child, and now can't stand to wear his Boy Scout uniform. He feels that it represents bias against gays. Steve believes that "When people see somebody that's a Scout, they shouldn't assume that they're all bigots."

The Boy Scouts used to be accepting and embraced their live-and-let-live acceptability toward gays. But now if they continue to, their main support the Mormon Church, their biggest supporter would withdrawl it's sponsership.

If any private club does not want leaders who smoke or drink or are 30 pounds overweight or black or gay or anything else, then those people need to create or find another organization that accepts them for who they are. The Scouts have their right to their beliefs, but so do the sponsors.
