Activist Groups Urge Obama to Reject Boy Scout Honor

Activist groups, including Scouting for All, urge President Obama not to accept the honorary Presidency of the Boy Scouts of America until they stop discriminating.

United Methodists Reject Scout Policy Review

United Methodists in the Detroit Conference refused last weekend to ask member congregations to review their policies on Boy Scout troops they sponsor. At their annual conference at Adrian College, the conference rejected a resolution from Reconciling United Methodists to consider, discuss and decide on a compassionate course of action on homosexuality. Boy Scouts nationally have adopted a policy barring homosexuals from being a Scout, a Scout leader or an administrator. The United Methodist Church Constitution affirms that all people shall be able to participate in Methodist programs and ministries.

Scouting For All is not an alternative scouting program.
We are an education and advocacy organization reaching out to gay and nontheist youth and adults in our effort to get the Boy Scouts of America to rescind its exlusionary policy.
