Dear Sirs,
I am writing this letter of protest to your Boy Scout Council regarding the kicking out of Darrell Lambert for
being an atheist. As an Eagle Scout myself, I find it shameful that an organization that could be doing so much
good for youth, is instead sending a message that discrimination and bigotry are not just allowed, but openly encouraged.
I find it equally disturbing that a scout council in Seattle would lack the courage to stand up those in Texas
who have taken over scouting, and are ruining its good reputation. I have always viewed Seattle and the state
of Washington as a place where social justice and human rights were valued. Shame on you for being such a poor
example to youth!
Discrimination is wrong, even if you have a right to do it.
