Hewlett-Packard
Hewlett-Packard has declined to match employee donations to the BSA and other organizations that discriminate!
Here is a link their matching gifts site:
http://grants.hp.com/us/community_giving.html
Here's the policy:
"Employees can contribute to a federation OR to a specific non-profit organization (with a 501(c) 3 designation).
In 2002, HP is working with five leading non-profit federations: United Way, Community Health Charities, Developmentspace,
America's Charities and Earth Share.
HP matches employee contributions dollar for dollar up to $1,000 per employee per calendar year to the same
organization that
receives the employee's contribution (as long as the organization does not discriminate based on race, color, religion,
gender, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation or veteran status)."
I was also able to locate a lot of useful information about HP giving in my state.
WE NEED TO IDENTIFY OTHER BUSINESSES THAT WILL NOT MATCH GIFTS TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT DISCRIMINATE TO:
HOLD THEM TO THEIR POLICY TO ALERT THE PRESS AND THE PUBLIC
