The Assistant Regional Director shall be designated by the Regional Director and appointed after approval by
the Board of Directors. The Assistant Regional Director serves under the supervision and direction of the Regional
Director. The A.R.D. / State Director position is held at the regional level, does not hold a voting or non-voting
seat on the Board of Directors, and reports directly to his or her Regional Director. The A.R.D. / State Director
may only act within his or her region as assigned by the Regional Director, adhering to the policies established
by the Board of Directors for the entire Organization and by the Regional Director for that particular region.
The A.R.D. / State Director is an official spokesperson for his or her particular region and may be asked to speak
on behalf of the Organization at a particular event by the Regional Director. The A.R.D. / State Director is responsible
to assist the Regional Director in overseeing the planning, organizing, and execution of Scouting For All events
which occur within the region/state. The A.R.D. / State Director is also responsible for assisting the Regional
Director as assigned to implement the Scouting For All National Campaign within his or her region. The A.R.D. /
State Director will also be included in the internal board email communication.
