Join Us for the All Atheist Weekend in San Francisco!

Ellen Johnson, President of American Atheists, will be speaking at 595 Market Street, home of the Commonwealth Club, on Friday May 20 at 7:00 p.m. There will be no fee for attendance. She will speak on "Madalyn O'Hair: What She stood For and Why Her Ideas Matter Today." This presentation uses rare, archival footage which includes interviews, commentary and more. Johnson also discusses some of the key legal cases Ms. O'Hair initiated, and talks about how her ideas are especially relevant today pertaining to issues like display of religious icons on public property, the faith-based initiative, and much more.

Afterwards we are planning a dinner with Ellen. The producers of the movie, The God Who Wasn't There, will make a presentation at the dinner. We will attempt to raise some money with this dinner to partially offset
the large fee we must pay to rent the Commonwealth Club.

May 21, will see a premiere of the movie, The God That Wasn't There, including comments by the producer. On Sunday there will be an encore showing of the movie, followed by a computerized presentation of Dave
Fitzgerald's 10,000 Christs and the Evaporating Jesus. The movie will be shown at The Off-Market Theater at 965 Mission St. at 5th, San Francisco. Supporters of the Bay Area Atheist groups are invited to join American Atheists' President at a fundraising dinner at Sotano's Restaurant 550 Powell Street (at Bush) San Francisco An unexpected Mexican treasure in
the heart of the Union Square area, Sotano' s uses only the finest ingredients to make all sauces and dressings from scratch daily. Menu selections for the evening include:

LUBBOCK FAJITAS ­ Flank steak marinated and charbroiled, with peppers and onions
CHILE VERDE ­ Slow roasted pork and pablano peppers in a tomatillo sauce
MOLE ENCHILADAS ­ Two enchiladas covered in negro mole sauce. Choose chicken, beef or cheese.
VEGETARIAN TOSTADA ­ A large tortilla bowl layered with black beans, rice, lettuce, grilled vegetables,salsa, cheese, sour cream and guacamole
