Activist groups, including Scouting for All, urge President Obama not to accept the honorary Presidency of the Boy Scouts of America until they stop discriminating.

Gay Man comes Out and Wants to Help Scouting for All

Greetings,

My name is Jeremy and I am a college student in Richmond, VA. I received my eagle scout about 4 years ago when I was 17. Since then I have come out as a gay man to my family, my friends, and my community and am extremely concerned by the BSA's policies of discrimination against LGBTQ people, women, and atheists and other nontheists. I have considered mailing my award back to the national center as a protest but wanted to consult with someone at Scouting for All first to see if this was a good idea. If so, are there things I can do to call attention to this action of protest and make it the most visible and effective action possible?
